History

A dated record of how a stainless fastener business became a hardwood decking supplier.

1999
Founded as a fastener company distributing and importing coated and stainless steel screws, nails and bolts.
2001
Most of the specialty stainless screws being sold turn out to be going into Ipe decking and other exotic hardwoods, while distribution for those decking products is limited. A procurement office is established in northern Brazil for Ipe lumber, and manufacture of the company's own stainless fastener brands begins in Southeast Asia.
2002
The Designer Rail aluminium baluster line is introduced, made in the United States, in textured black, textured pewter, eggshell textured white, antique copper and textured pyrite and bronze.
2004
A 30,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility on five acres is purchased.
2006
The company is listed in the 25th annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest growing private companies in the United States, at number 441, with three year growth of 336 percent.
2009
The company sponsors a Ferrari Challenge race car in its own livery, and a series of East Coast races follows a class win for the Southeast.
2011
Three lumber brands are launched, covering grooved and matched decking and hardwood deck tiles.
2012
A stainless steel cable rail partnership is added to the railing line.
2013-2014
The company restructures around three lines: hardware, lumber and railing.
